VIAN – After a shaky start and down 14-0 to the Kiefer Trojans, the Wolverines opened up the game and never looked back.

Kiefer got on the board first with a 43-yard touchdown run by Cash Worley and a 2-point conversion for an 8-0 first quarter lead with 5:08 remaining in the period.

Shortly thereafter, Vian’s QB was picked off by the Trojans Bradley Breland at the 44 yard line. Breland finished the drive with a 2-yard dive into the end zone with 1:35 remaining in the first. The 2-point try was no good and Kiefer lead 14-0 in the opening period.

With 9:37 left in the half Cash Trammel found Jacob Brannick for a 19-yard touchdown to put the Wolverines on the board and they never looked back from there.

Trammel and Brannick connected again just a minute later and with the Mikaya Mendoza point after  the game was tied at 14.

With one minute left in the half, it was the Trammel-Brannick show again this time for the lead. Vian went into the lockers up 21-14 at the half.

In the third quarter, Masyn Wright got in the act at the 11:00 minute mark on Trammel’s fourth touchdown toss of the game.

Mendoza tacked on a 15-yard field goal late in the third quarter and the Wolverines widened their lead to 31-14 after three.

In the fourth, Wright added his second score of the game from the 3-yard line with a scoring dive, and three minutes later, his third with a 14-yard touchdown run to close out the scoring, 45-14 Wolverines.

Vian (2-0) will travel to Pocola next week to take on the 2-0 Indians, and Kiefer (0-2) remains on the road at Sperry (0-2) to take on the Pirates
