VIAN –  With a late start because of a very successful football season, the Vian Wolverines improved their record to 3-1 by defeating the Talihina Golden Tigers 56-43 Monday night.

Cash Trammell and Masyn Wright led the Wolverines to victory with Trammell scoring 23 points and Wright finishing with 13.

Trammell scored 14 points in the first half to help Vian to a 32-25 advantage at the half.

Eric Rose was the top scorer for the Golden Tigers with 14 points. Cy Ammons was also in double figures with 10 points. And Tristan Griffith close behind with 8 points for the game.

Vian will travel to Howe Tuesday night to take on the No.19 ranked Lions (3-5), while Talihina returns home to face 4A Stigler who are 3-1 this season.
