VIAN- The Wolverines started fast Friday night with a 22 point tally in the opening 12 minutes and scored in all four quarters for a convincing 41-7 win over the Eufaula Ironheads.
Draighton Fletcher opened the scoring for Vian with a 41 yard at the 4:58 mark of the first quarter. He would eventually score twice more in the first half.
Masyn Wright added another score with a 27 yard scamper with Riley Ellis tacking on 2 more points on the conversion on a pass from Cash Trammel and the Wolverines led 14-0.
Before the quarter ended, Cash found an open Ledger Folsom for another Vian score, with Wright tacking on the 2 points on a pass in the end zone.
In the second and third quarters it was all Fletcher. In the second with a 34-yard touchdown run and in the third quarter, a 49 yard scamper for the score.
The Wolverines rushed for 373 yards in the contest, 131 yard by Wright and a game high, 143 yards form Fletcher. Another one of the Wright brothers, Amos Wright, totaled 61 yards and added the fourth quarter score.
Trammel went 8 for 13 through the air for 92 yards, 42 to Folsom and 50 to Masyn Wright.
Vian will travel to Kiefer next Friday and Eufaula will return home against Sequoyah.
