BRAGGS  – The Braggs Wildcats jumped out on top early, scoring 7 runs in the first inning on route to a 9-4 win Friday night.

After a scoreless opening inning for Bokoshe, The Wildcats jumped out quickly in the bottom of the frame with four consecutive singles and a double by Sam Hensley that scored Daryl Winters and Hazen Edwards to take a 3-0 lead.

James Larchey followed with a bunt and an error by Nate Crow, the first baseman, scored another 2 runs.

With two outs Tigers pitcher Tyler Sanderson hit Jaden Birdtail and Lakota Martin to load the bases then issued two walks to force in two more runs for a 7-0 Braggs lead.

Sanderson settled down blanking Braggs in the second and third innings after the Tigers had added two of their own on the third thanks to a triple off the bat of Asher Emerson that scored Eli Fraser and Richie Traylor.

Later in the bottom of the fifth inning it looked like the Wildcats were going to end the game via the run rule. Leading 9-2 with the bases loaded and no outs, however, a base running blunder ended the threat with a triple play by Bokoshe when runners advanced on a pop fly out and were doubled and tripled up at second and third to end the inning.

The Tigers added two runs in the top of the seventh inning, but it was too little too late as Martin ended the game with a strikeout.

Martin went the distance for the win for the Wildcats allowing 9 hits, 4 runs and striking out and impressive 15 Bokoshe batters.

Sanderson took the loss for the Tigers going 4-2/3 allowing 8 runs (3 earned) and striking out eight.

The Tigers return home next Tuesday afternoon to end their season against Kinta, and the Wildcats will trave to Prue on the 15th.
