WEBBERS FALLS – The Braggs Wildcats won their first major tournament Saturday night by defeating Battiest 70-41 in the tournament championship game at Webbers Falls.

Braggs dominated the Panthers from the onset leading by 9 after the first period and opening it up to 17 points by halftime.

Aiden Briant was the top scorer for Battiest with 18 points for the game and was the only Panther in double figures.

Jaylen Melton topped the Wildcats scoring chart with 22 points, followed by Logan Faulconer with 11 and Blaise McMahon with 9.

There were loud cheers from the crowed when the substitute players added to the scoresheet. Both Trey Ashley and James Larchey each sunk two 3-pointers in the second half when the game was well in hand for Braggs.

The Wildcats (14-3) will return to action next Thursday night at 6:30 when the take on Haileyville (5-9) for their homecoming game.
