WEBBERS FALLS – The Whitesboro Lady Bulldogs dominated the Webbers Falls Lady Warriors Friday night 63-18 to move to the title game Saturday.
Turnovers, giveaways, and unforced errors plagued the Lady Warriors from the opening tip off. The Lady Bulldogs were faster, quicker to the ball, and much more accurate scoring buckets.
In the opening quarter, Webbers Allie Patterson was given 10 free throw attempts and only made 4. Abbie Patterson also went 0-for2 from the line in the first 8 minutes. With 8 missed scoring opportunities for the Warriors, the Lady Dogs led 14-7 after one period.
The second period also went to Whitesboro led by Jemma Arnold with 8 points. Arnold finished with 11 points on the night, two buckets coming from beyond the bonus stripe.
Jaycee Lawson had a little trouble from the charity stripe going 0-for4 from the foul line, but was much better from the floor with six buckets for a nice 12-point total.
Mallory Grogan was top point getter for the Lady Bulldogs with 17 points and sister Macey contributed 9 points.
For the Lady Warriors Madison Smith was high with 8 points including two 3-pointers.
With the win, Whitesboro will go on to the Championship round Saturday to face Cave Springs for the girls Title Saturday at 6:00pm, and Webbers Falls will move to the Consolation bracket to face off against the Dewar Lady Dragons at 3:20.
