WEBBERS FALLS– Two Canadian Cougar pitchers began the game with control problems, walking 7 batters and hitting another to contribute to an 8-run opening inning for Webbers Falls. Aiden Turley provided the only hit in Webbers Falls first inning, a 2-RBI single.

Turley and Brayden Robinson each had 2 hits for the Warriors. One of Robinson’s hits was a double, the only extra base hit of the game, that opened Webbers Falls second inning.

On the mound, Brutus Robinson got the W for the Warriors (4-1) allowing just 2 Cougar hits over five innings with a total of 96 pitches, 54 of them for strikes.

Stryker Chappel’s 3 walks in the game resulted in 2 RBI’s without a hit over the 4 innings. Turley also collected 2 RBI’s on his single in the first inning.

Canadian (1-2), collected their 2 runs in the third inning avoiding the run rule (8 run lead after three innings), with a walk, a hit batsman a single and an error by first baseman Elliott Kunkel.

The Warriors will be back in action Thursday afternoon when they take on the Gans Grizzlies (0-2), and the Cougars travel to Leflore (2-4) on Tuesday.
