WEBBERS FALLS – The Warriors waisted no time Thursday afternoon in dispatching the Wesleyan Christian Mustangs 54-14 in a district class “B” matchup.

It took just over four minutes for the Warriors to get on the board when Aiden Turley took it in the end zone for the games opening score and added the extra two-point conversion for an 89-0 Warrior lead early in the first.

Gunnar Shelby got on the board just three minutes later with a 50-yard score. Turley tacked on the two-pointer for a 16-0 Webbers Falls lead.

With 2:14 remaining in the opening period, the Warriors added 8 more and open up a 24-0 opening quarter lead.

In the third quarter, The Mustangs got on the board first to close the gap to 24-6.

On a fourth down and twelve to go, Brutus Robinson connected with Shelby for a 50-yard touchdown strike to make the score 46-6.

The Mustangs did strike again in the fourth when Forest Cook grabbed a touchdown toss from Hudson Baker for a 15-yard touchdown pass with 9:39 remaining in the game.

The Warriors added another tally on a Robinson to Brody Terrell to make it 46-14 and Ryan Cowan tacked on one more from the tight end position to end the scoring at 54-14 Warriors.

Webbers falls (4-3) will travel to Copan (6-1) next Friday, and the Mustangs (0-7) return home to face Arkoma (5-2).
