WARNER  – The Warner Eagles broke the tie in the bottom of the final inning with a Colton Swimmer single that scored Jaxon Cash for a 4-3 win.

Warner got on top quickly in the bottom of the first, scoring 3 runs to take a 3-0 lead over Vian, but the bats got cold, and the Wolverines crawled their way back in it, scoring 1 run in the third and tying the game in the sixth.

Warner’s Jace Jackson took to the hill going six innings and allowing five hits and three runs while striking out 6 Wolverine hitters.

Beau Thomas, who came in in relief of Jackson in the top of the seventh, got the win for the Eagles allowing two hits and no runs in Vian’s final frame.

With Warner up 3-1 for most of the game, Vian came alive in the sixth with a Cash Collins double and a Gabe Gilbert single that put runners on second and third.

Kaden Fulbright lined a double to right field scoring Collins and advancing Gilbert to third. Jackson then walked Stryker Fields to load the bases.

With no room on the base pads, Jackson walked Dreighton Fletcher to force in the tying run.

In the bottom of the seventh, after an Austin Spradlin strikeout, Cash started it off with a walk and Jackson reached on an error by the Wolverine shortstop. With two on and one out Swimmer delivered the winning blow to right scoring Cash to walk off the win 4-3.

The Eagles travel to Oktaha Tuesday for a 4:30 start, and Vian returns home to take on Pocola Tuesday afternoon.
