WARNER– The No. 13 ranked Warner Eagles (11-7) snapped a 2-game losing streak by defeating the Okemah Panthers (10-9) at the Warner Event Center Thursday night.
The Eagles led from the start and never looked back. Jace Jaxson, who celebrated his 1,000 career point prior to the game, got Warner to the front in the opening period scoring 14 of his 19 points in the first.
Top scorer Jaxson Cash took over in the second quarter with 11 of his 26 points in the second including three from outside the bonus line for 3’s.
6’-7” Blake Ellis held down the second half for the Eagles scoring 12 of his 14 points after the halftime break.
For the Panthers it was Owen Dunmire leading the way with 18 points on the night, followed by P J Franks with 10 and Kyran Berryhill just missing double figures with 9 points.
The Panthers travel to Stroud to take on the 2-16 Tigers, and Warner is right back in action Friday night when the travel to Kinta to take on the 8th ranked class B Eagles who are 19-4
