BRAGGS – The Braggs Lady Wildcats are always facing rough competition from much larger schools due to the fact; no other smaller schools play volleyball.
However, Thursday’s matchup found them finally playing a smaller school, The Tulsa School of Arts & Science, but they fell short in 3 straight sets 25-22, 25-18, 26-24, to give TSAS their first ever volleyball victory .
It was a close competitive match with TSAS leading most of the time with the Wildcats close behind and occasionally taking a brief lead in sets 1 and 3.
It was mostly service mistakes that doomed the Lady Cats. Denise Adams, the Wildcats captain, was all over the court and took some tough tumbles on save attempts. Autumn Shoekome had the dig of the day for the Cats in the third set.
The Lady Cats will be back on the court Monday when they travel to 6A Muskogee. The TSAS Phoenix will be back in action against KIPP on the 21st of August.
