WEBBERS FALLS– Trailing after the first half 20-12, the Webbers Falls Lady Warriors came out from the locker room ready to play. The way the Webbers Falls girls played in the first half the lead might as well have been 20 points.

With their backs to the wall, Webbers falls outscored the Gans Lady Grizzlies 18-6 in the third period. After the disastrous first half it took until 6:06 remaining in the third for Webbers Falls to take their first lead in the game 21-20.

Abby Pense took command took command in the third period scoring 10 of her 14 points in the third. Teralyn Colston took over in the fourth period with 9 of her 19 points in the final eight minutes.

For the Lady Grizzlies it was Melania Paniagua propelling them to the early lead scoring 9 of her 21 point total in the second quarter. Brianna Burris was the other Gans girl in double figures with 12 points.

With the win the Lady Warriors will play for the district title Saturday night and are guaranteed to advance to regional play next week.

Gans is eliminated from the playoffs with the loss.
