GORE –  In the final game of the tournament for the Gore Pirates a 20-point opening period helped them secure a 56-47 win Saturday morning.

Gore was led by Cain Cooper with 19 points, 8 of which came in the 20-point opening period. Cooper was also named top team player for the Pirates for the tournament.

Tate Brooksher was also in double figures on the day for Gore with 13 points for the game.

The Wildcats were led by Lucas Grossman with 12 points. Brandon Miller was also in double figures with 10, followed by Kyler Hill with 9 points and Trey Miller with 8 points.

Hill was named the Wildcats top team player for the tournament.

The Cats (2-2) return home next Tuesday to take on the 4-2 Mounds Eagles and Gore remains on home court to play the 0-4 Arkoma Mustangs that same night.
