GORE- The Gore Pirates moved up from tenth to third in the OSSAA Class A rankings with a sound 43-0 win over the Mounds Eagles.
Looks like the 2023 squad has not lost a step from last year’s State Runner-Ups. Even with the loss of 21 Seniors Gore turned in another defensive gem shutting out Mounds Friday night 43-0.
The Pirates have collected 101 points in just three games while giving up just 7, including two shut-out performances.
Seems as if, with District play just around the corner, Gore is setting up another deep play-off run for 2023.
The Crew will get a week off next week before taking on Talihina at home on the 22nd in their district opener.
