GORE – The Gore Pirates steadily ran away from the Gans Grizzlies Thursday and ended with a resounding 64-17 win.
The Pirates poured it on in the opening half to lead Gans 32-10 at halftime. In the second half, they allowed the Grizzlies just 7 points while scoring 32 for the 64-17 win.
Gore scored most of their points from the floor hitting for 27, 2-pointers by a multitude of Pirates.
Keeton Rowe and Duane Hunt each had 9 points, Tate Brooksher had 8, Logan Markos and Gabe Heffley each with 7, and Eli Munson had 6 points.
Hunt scored 7 of his 9 points n the opening quarter to boost the Pirates to an early lead.
Austin Hines was the top scorer for the Grizzlies with 8 points on the night.
The Pirates will hit the road to OK Friday to take on the Mustangs, while Gans travels to Arkoma to challenge a different set of Mustangs.
