GORE – The Gore Lady Pirates and the Keys Lady Cougars opened the 2026 CSSNOK sports coverage with Gore coming out on top 11-0 in just two innings.

The heat was a huge factor in the contest with temperatures reaching 103 degrees. Keys pitcher, Maya  Charboneau, was overcome by the heat early in the contest, and the game was called after two complete innings.

The Lady Pirates struck early in the bottom of the first inning, scoring 11 runs in the opening frame.

The Gore hit parade was led by Maddison Douglass, Jayci Lane and Alevia Reasnor. Maddison Douglas contributed on run with her double in the opening inning.

Reasnor was the game winner in the circle for the Pirates allowing no hits, no runs and struck out all six Cougar batters over the two innings.

Gore will be back on the field Tuesday when they travel to Wister, before returning home Thursday to take on 5A Roland.

The Cougars also have a busy schedule traveling to Sequoyah Tuesday and to Colcord Thursday, before returning home to Park Hill next Monday to face the Westville Lady Hornets.
