PORUM – The Porum Panthers cruised to a sweep of the Webbers Falls Lady Warriors Tuesday afternoon with two wins via the run rule.

After a sound 14-4, four inning win in game one., Porum went on to make quick work of the Warriors in game two with a sound three inning run rule shutout in game two by a score of 16-0.

The Panthers opened game two with a 10-run first inning thanks to free passes and hit batters.

Bailey Ward, in the circle for Webbers Falls just could not find the range in the bottom of the first, walking three and hitting five batters in the inning.

The only hits in the Panthers opening inning came from Ashlyn Crowder with a single that scored one run and a triple by Lea Johnson that cleared the bases, scoring three more.

The Warriors managed just two hits in the game, both were singles by Bridgette Bare and Ward.

Porum will hit the field again next Monday when they take on the Gans Grizzlies and the Warriors will travel to the Weleetka Tournament that runs from Thursday thru Saturday of next week.
