GORE- The Webbers Falls Lady Warriors (1-7) took advantage of the Arkoma Lady Mustangs off day by finishing off the 3-7 Mustangs 15-3 in three innings for their first win of the season.
It only took two at bats for Webbers Falls, scoring 8 runs in the opening inning and 7 in the second. After Arkoma’s third at bat, the game ended 15-3 after just three innings.
The Lady Mustangs just seemed to not do anything right, committing a multitude of errors including errant throws, dropped balls and mental mistakes.
Hayvynn Rogers got on base three times via the walk, one resulting in an RBI with the bases loaded. Londyn Ponder and Ruby Carlisle had the only two hits for Arkoma with Ponder’s hit being a double.
In the circle, Kynleigh Sebo took the loss for the Lady Mustangs allowing 15 runs on 15 hits, walking 3 and striking out 2 Webber hitters.
For the Lady Warriors, Rhilee Jones, Kendra Kimble and Katie Frazier all had doubles for Webbers Falls with Frazier and Bailey Ward leading the way in RBI’s with 3 each.
Webber Falls fell off a bit in the nightcap dropping an 11-0 run rule loss to the Gore Lady Pirates.
The Lady Warriors will be back in action next Monday when they travel to McCurtain (6-3).
