BRAGGS – From the opening tip off, it was a lopsided affair in the girls contest at Braggs Friday night.

Webbers Falls (2-0) jumped out on top quickly in the opening eight minutes to take a 26-5 by the time the first period ended.

Taralynn Colston dominated the opening session with 13 points. Bridgett Baer had 8 with two 3’s, and Abby Pense added a 3 and two from the charity stripe for Webbers Falls 26-point first quarter total.

With the Warriors leading by 30 points, 38-8 to start the second half, there was no quit in Braggs who found some momentum and outscored Webbers Falls in the third 12-7.

Katelyn Chandler and Kaylee Ashley each had 6 points in the period for Braggs (0-6) with Ashley hitting twice from long range for 3-pointers.

The Lady Wildcats also outscored Webbers Falls in the final period 9-8, but the first half onslaught had already determined the outcome.

The Lady Wildcats will participate in the Porum Tournament next week, and Webbers Falls ladies travel to Henryetta for the Wilson Tiger Classic on Tuesday.
