
MUSKOGEE – The freshman, JV and Varsity Volleyball squads were all victorious Tuesday when they swept the 5A Will Rogers Ropers (1-5) at all three levels.
The Freshman started the event with a come-from-behind 7-point rally winning set 1 of the best of three, 26-24.
The second set of the match went to Rodgers 19-25 and was the only set the Ropers would win all evening.
In the tiebreaker of the best-of-three match, Muskogee jumped out to an 8-2 lead and was never bested, going on to a 15-8 to take the match.
The JV squad followed with a 2-game sweep in the second match winning both sets 25-19, 25-21.
The varsity (2-2) finished the night with a 3-game sweep 25,13, 25-9, 25-12 to win their second match of the season. The Roughers will return to the home court Thursday evening when they take on 4A Locust Grove (2-3) and the Ropers will travel to Claremore where they will open their play in the Claremore Invitational Tournament against 5A Sapulpa (11-5), ranked number 4 by OSSAA, Friday night.
