GORE– On a night when Gore’s Kennedy Williams was recognized for 500 career rebounds, the Gore Lady Pirates fell short of the Central Lady Tigers 47-37.

The Lady Tigers steadily pulled away from Gore in the opening half, topping the Lady Pirates 27-13 at the break.

Gore made a comeback in the final period outscoring the Lady Tigers 17-10, but it was too little too late resulting in the 10 point 37-47 defeat.

Cheyenne Busch was instrumental in Central’s advantage scoring 10 points in the first half, 8 of which came in the second quarter.

Cambree Bair was the top point getter for Central with 16 points and Busch also hit double figures with 12 on the night.

For the Lady Pirates it was Williams topping the scoring charts with 10 point and Rayleigh Moore and River Shoemake each with 6 points.

The Lady Bucs (9-8) will be back in action Saturday when they travel to Hulbert before closing out their regular season Monday at home against No. 11 (16-4) Panama.

Central (11-9) will face Savanna (4-14) Monday night at Warner.
