GORE- The Gore Lady Pirates (5-2) finally got a home game after three rain outs, and one reschedule kept them on the road for the opening six games of the season.
The Gore girls took full advantage by opening the first game of a 3-way with the Arkoma Lady Mustangs (3-7), topping Arkoma 11-0 in a game shortened run rule shutout.
Jemma Peevy notched the win with a 1-hit shutout over the three innings while striking out 4 Arkoma batter.
On the offensive side, three Lady Pirates managed triples. Kennedy Williams, River Shoemake and Alevia Reasnor all got three-base knocks.
Shoemake ended the game in the bottom of the third with a dinger over the left field fence good for a 2-run homer and ending the game via the “run rule”. She also led the Lady Bucs with 5 RBI’s on the day.
After a break, Gore faced the Webbers Falls Lady Warriors in the nightcap and took home another run rule win 11-0.
