SALLISAW – In a game that was rarely separated by more than 2 points the Stigler Lady Panthers (6-1) pulled away from the Lady Black Diamonds of Sallisaw for a tight 29-25 win Tuesday night.

A defensive effort by both squads was determined by the turnover factor. The Black Diamonds (3-5) turned it over to Stigler 24 times during the game, while the Lady Panthers committed just 11 give-always.

Hannah Palmer netted all 5 points for Sallisaw in the first quarter and finished the game with 8 total points.

Emma Martin was top scorer for Sallisaw with 10 on the night, 8 of which came in the final period, including two 3-pointers.

The Lady Panthers were led by Hiahni Howard with 11 points followed by Ashton Hollie with 8 and Jordan Johnson each with 5 points.

The Lady Black Diamonds will return to the hardwood in the Sequoyah County Tournament on January 2nd, and Stigler will remain on the road to take on Pocola on the 9th.
