WARNER – The Warner Lady Eagles (7-0) took their winning streak to 7 games by shutting out the Lexington Lady Bulldogs 6-0 Thursday afternoon in the opening Round of the Cowgirl Shootout
The LaBounty girls stole the show with Paisley LaBounty beating out 2 inside the park home runs that got by the left fielder and sister Ella dominating in the circle, allowing just two hits and striking out eight Lady Bulldogs over the five innings.
Addison Upton also brough her bat to the party notching a triple in the bottom of the first inning that scored Tallon Ashmore, Londyn Girty and Adysen Dishman to give Warner a 5-0 lead after one.
In the second inning, LaBounty came through again with another inside the park homer, again to left field, to close the scoring at 6-0, and give the Lady Eagles their seventh consecutive win.
For the bulldogs, Merabelle Neilson broke up E. LaBounty’s no-hitter with two singles, one in the first inning and one in the third inning.
Warner will take on the neighboring Porum Panthers (9-1) Friday at 4:20 seeking their eighth win in a row, while the Lady Bulldogs (6-2) move over to the consolation bracket to play The Kiefer Trojans (8-1)
