WARNER– The Warner Lady Eagles dominated the district title game Friday night defeating the Vian Lady Wolverines 62-26.

It was evident from the start how the game was going to unfold. Warner got back some of the things they had been missing the past few weeks. Rebounding was one of those factor.

The Lady Eagles dominated the boards on both ends of the court and continued to pile on points as the game progressed.

Alexis Fowler, Warners 3-point ace, had been missing the target lately. Fowler dialed it in Friday hitting from the outside five times and missing just 2 attempts. When asked how her 3-point game returned she said “I must have practiced 80 of those things last week”

Harlie Chesser also got things going in the opening half scoring 9 of her 15 points in the second quarter, including going 4-for-4 from the foul line.

Kaylen Park was also in double figures scoring 11 but Fowler topped the scoring for the Lady Eagles with 19 points.

For the Lady Wolverines Halli Russell was the top scorer with 9 points. Russell and Avery Wright each had one 3-pointer in the first half.

Warner will move to the winners bracket of the regional tournament and face the winner of Wister vs. Panama next Thursday at 7:00 pm at the Warner Event Center.

Vian will face the loser of that contest in a must win game next Thursday at 1:00 pm.
