WARNER – The Warner Lady Eagles came out flying to a 15-2 first quarter lead over the No.6 ranked Lady Savages of Quinton, but the second half led to a 60-41 defeat.
Emercyn Baldridge and Ava Peters combined for 11 of the Lady Eagles 15 first half points.
Baldridge finished the night with 12 total points and Peters was right behind with 10 points.
Ella LaBounty just missed hitting double figures with 9 points on the night.
Warner held the lead in the contest until the 4:26 mark of the third period when Quinton’s Bailey Nestor nailed a 3-pointer from the corner to give the Savages the lead 30-27.
Nestor was 3-point shooting machine knocking down ten 3-pointers for the game, 5 of which came in the 22-point Quinton third quarter.
The Lady Savages held Warner to just 14 points in the second half, while scoring 39 points for the runaway win 60-41.
Aliviah Daniels had a nice night for Quinton scoring 15 points. Daniels and Nestor accounted for all but 12 of the Lady Savages points.
Quinton (14-6) Returns home Thursday night to take on the Gore Lady Pirates (4-9) , while Warner (6-14) gets a break until February 7th when they will travel to Okemah (19-0) to take on the undefeated 2A No.6 ranked Panthers
