SALLISAW – The Lady Black Diamonds notched their third win of the season with a dominant performance against the Heavener Lady Wolves.
It started early for Sallisaw with a Bella Morales Goal at the 13:35 mark for a 1-0 Sallisaw lead.
Just a few ticks Ava Donaldson got it to the back of the Wolves net at 12:47 for a quick 2-0 Diamonds lead.
Less than two minutes later it was Kyra Taylor on a free kick that got by Heavener Keeper Mya Trebbe and Sallisaw led 3-0.
A rush down the left side saw Promise Flute stretch the lead to 4-0 at the 11:55 mark, but Sallisaw wasn’t done yet. Emilie Robbins added a score at 9:22 to stretch the lead to 5-0.
With just 11 ticks left in the first half the Lady Wolves Danica Noahubi broke the ice for Heavener and the half ended with the score 5-1 Sallisaw.
There was no scoring in the second half that was dominated by the Lady Black Diamonds. Most of the second half was spent with Sallisaw on the attack. The Lady Wolves were limited to just three shots on goal with only the one by Noahubi hitting paydirt.
Sallisaw (3-3) will be back in action after spring break when they host Victory Christian, currently 1-2, on April 3rd. Heavener (0-2) will return home to take on the Fort Gibson Lady Tigers (2-1) on the 25th.
