WARNER – The Warner Eagles jumped out to a 4-0 lead at the onset, but that’s the last time they would be on top of the scoreboard.

The Keys Cougars were just too big and too fast for the young Eagles, leading to the 56-38 decisive victory in the opening round of the Cherokee Classic.

Dee Antwine managed 12 points on the night with Ryland Cash also in double figures with 10 points.

Joe Green led the Cougars with 17 points along with a strong showing on both  offensive and defensive rebounds.

Both teams will be back in action Thursday in the second round of the Tournament with the final round scheduled for Saturday.
