GORE – The Gore Pirates (9-6) wasted no time in putting away the Arkoma Mustangs 16-2 in a 3-inning, Run Rule shortened contest Thursday morning.

After a one-two-three Mustangs opening inning the Pirates batted around plus scoring 9 runs in their opening at bat. Hits, stolen bases, and Arkoma miscues set the table for the remainder of the game.

Brent Lindsey opened for the Mustangs and Brian Flurry finished up in the bottom of the second. Ben Kirkpatrick got the start and the win for the Pirates allowing just two hits over the three inning he faced Mustang Batters.

Arkoma was sent to the consolation bracket where they will face the loser of Okay vs McCurtain at 2:00 this afternoon, and Gore takes on the winner of that contest at 4:00

The other half of the Tournament is being played at Porum Where the Panthers are hosting the Gans Grizzlies at 10:00 and Webbers Falls takes on Keota at Noon. Whichever team can win two games of that half of the bracket will come to Gore to face the 2-game winner from Gore bracket in the finale tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 pm.

Tomorrow’s games will all be at Gore at 10:00, 12:00, 2:00 with the championship game starting at 4:00 p
