WEBBERS FALLS – The Webbers Falls Warriors (4-6) fell short Tuesday night when the faced their neighbors the 6-3 Gore Pirates.

It was a steady effort for Gore who outscored the Warriors in all four periods. Cain Cooper topped the scoreboard for the Pirates with 14 points with Tate Brooksher close behind with 13 points.

Brooksher scored 9 of his 13 points from beyond the bonus stripe and was 4-for-6 from the free throw line.

Eli Munson also hit for three 3-pointers, and Nash Thouvenel for two three pointers to contribute to his 9 game points. In all, Gore netted eight 3-pointers over the four periods.

For the Warriors Thadan Yandell 12 points and Luke Pierce was next with 8 points. Both Pierce and Yandell hit twice from beyond the bonus stripe.

The Warriors will hit the road to take on the Kinta Eagles (11-4), and the Pirates return home Thursday to challenge the visiting Gans Grizzlies who are currently win less at 0-7.
