WARNER- The Chouteau Lady Wildcats (10-6) came to challenge the undefeated Warner Lady Eagles (11-0) in a double header Tuesday afternoon and were greeted with the Eagles red hot bats.
In the opening game Ella LaBounty pitched a no hit gem for the Eagles, going all seven innings and allowed just 1 unearned run in the top of the seventh inning.
Londyn Girty toated the hot bat for Warner going 3-for-4 with two doubles. Aubri Franco also had a double for the Lady Eagles.
Franco and Bailey Hughey both had multiple hits in the contest.
Rylee Detweiler took the loss for the Lady Cats allowing 11 hits and 9 runs while striking out 4 Warner batters.
LaBounty sat down 13 Chouteau hitters with strike outs out of the 26 batters faced for a 50% strike out rate.
In the second game it was all LaBounty, going 3-for-3 at the plate including a game-ending home run blast over the center field wall in the bottom of the fifth inning to end the game via the run rule (10 run lead after 5 innings) with a final score of 12-1 Warner.
Addison Upton, Girty, and Ava Peters all had a multi-hit game with 2 hits each (Peters with a double), along with a double and home run from LaBounty.
Over the two games LaBounty tossed 172 pitches, 110 for strikes (63.9%) with 19 strike outs over 43 batters faced.
On the season the Lady Eagles have scored 98 runs while allowing just 13 runs against over the 11 games played.
Warner has the Red Oak Festival up next on Thursday and Friday while Chouteau remains on the road for another double headed with the Porter Pirates on Thursday.
