WARNER – Although it was just a scrimmage and a warmup for the 2023 season, both the JV and Varsity Warner Eagles outperformed the Haskell Haymakers in a scrimmage at Warner Friday night.

The night started with each JV squad running 20 plays from the 30 yard line. Warners JV offense managed a 40 yar touchdown from Memphis Swimmer to Dee Antwine for the only score of the session.

The Varsity squads then took the field for their 20 play sessions. The Eagles again notched the only score on a pass from Jace Jackson to Kenden Moseley for a 30-yard tally.

The Varsity held another session, this time from the 40 yard line, and although there was no scoring the Eagles won the field position battle.

After a short break there was a 24 minute running clock game simulation when again Warner showed dominance in field position but failed to score.

The pre-season errors were evident with several false starts while both teams worked out the kinks prior to next week’s week 0 openers.
