WARNER – It was a clean sweep for the Eagles Tuesday night after the Warner boys ended the night’s festivities with a 55-28 win over the Liberty Tigers.
Jace Jackson was top scorer in the opening period for Warner wit 8 points while the Tigers total was just half that. Trent Thompson and Brody Cornwell each sunk two free throws and that was it for the Lions.
Liberty was a bit more productive before the half scoring 10 points in the second session. Jayce Wheeler and Trent Thompson each had 3-pointers and Brady Cornwell and Thompson 2-pointers.
Wheeler added two 3’s in the final period for 9 points total while Thompson was high point-getter for Liberty with 13 on the night.
The Eagles were led by Jackson with 17, Jaxson Cash with 15, and Blake Ellis and Dee Antwine each had 11 points for the game.
Warner (1-0) will get a rest until next Tuesday when they travel to Hulbert to take on the Riders (1-1) and The Tigers (0-1) return home this Friday to take on the Choteau-Mazie Wildcats (0-1).
