GORE – The Chouteau Lady Wildcats were up against it in the first against the Stigler Lady Panthers and trailed 23-13 going into the lockers.
Something had to change for the Chouteau and indeed it did. The Wildcats witched to a zone defense in the third period and a zone-press midway through the fourth, to come back an outscore Stigler 39-21 in the second half for the 52-44 win.
For Chouteau it was the Inglett sisters Bristol and Presley doing most of the damage.
Neither did much in the first half but the sisters combined for 37 points over the final 16 minutes, Presley with 18 and Bristol with 19 to pull away from Stigler for the win.
The Tigers spread it out on the scoresheet with 3 players in double figures. Londan Daniels had 14 points, 4 from long range, Kates had 11 points and Pruett 13 including 3, 3-pointers.
Both teams will be back in action Friday with Chouteau moving on in the Winners Bracket.
