GORE –  The Braggs Wildcats took the title for a second year in a row at the Gore Armstrong Bank tournament by defeating Stigler in the Championship game 58-43 Saturday night.

The Wildcats waisted no time getting on top scoring 20 points in the opening period. Hazen Edwards, who had 15 points on the night, scored 13 of those points in the opening quarter.

The Wildcats hit for six 3-pointers in the first and doubled up the Panthers 20-10 in the opening eight minutes.

Stigler also had 10 points in the second and trailed Braggs 34-20 at the half.

Jackson McCarter was the high scoring Panther with 17 points. Also in double figures was Hunter Self with 13 and Cade Parker finished with 8 on the night.

Hazen Edwards, Jaylen Melton and Sam Hensley were all named all-tournament for Braggs

The No. 7 ranked Wildcats (10-0) will visit Webbers Falls next Tuesday to take on the Warriors (4-2) in a game that will be covered by CSSNOK.

The Stigler Panthers (3-2) return home that night to face Wilburton (4-3).
