Braggs- The Braggs Wildcats exploded in the first period for 36 points Saturday night en-route to a runaway 16th straight home win for the Class B, District 6 Title.

The District Title was a 3-peat for Coach Scott Hensley and his 301st career Win.

The Bulldogs were perplexed by the Wildcat full court press from the onset and were held to just 3 points in the opening period.

By the end of the third with Braggs leading 71-20, the game went to a running clock for the remainder of the contest.

Sam Hensley opened with 10 points in the first period and finished the game with 15 points, as did Trey Ashley. Ashley scored 12 of his 15 from beyond the bonus line for 3-pointers.

Hazen Edwards topped the scoring chart for the Wildcats with 21 points, Daryl Winter was next with 19 and point guard Jaylen Melton finished with 10 and as usual was 100% from the foul line (4-for-4).

The Wildcats (23-1) will move on to face Paden (15-9) in the winners bracket of the Regional portion of the OSSAA playoffs next Thursday night at 7:30pm at Braggs, and Schulter (10-8) moves to the consolation bracket and will play Legacy Christian School (14-12)  that afternoon at 2:30
