Braggs – The Braggs Wildcats took no easy path to their 13-0 record, notching another home win over the Webbers Falls Warriors 88-30 Tuesday night.

Braggs coach Scott Hensley challenges his team by competing with tougher opponents in tournament play. The have faced and defeated 2A Central Sallisaw (60-54) and 4A Stigler (58-43) at the Gore tournament in December.

Tuesday’s challenge came from the Webbers Falls Warriors when the visited the Wildcats and were greeted with a sprinting Braggs squad that posted 53 points in the first half alone.

There were a host of Braggs players posting double figures in the contest. Sam Hensley, the 3-point ace, led the way with 18 points with Hazen Edwards right behind with 16 points.

Burr Jaynes netted 14, Daryl Winter 13, Jaylen Melton 12 and Trey Ashley just missing doubles with 9 points.

In all, the Wildcats hit for twelve three-pointers. Hensley with 4, Ashley with 3 and Jaynes with 2. The outers were singles by Winter, Melton and Edwards.

For the Warriors Chevy Cole was the only Warrior in doubles with 11 points, with Luke Pierce hitting the lone 3-pointer for Webbers Falls.

Both squads begin the Arkansas River Shootout Wednesday with Braggs going against Watts at 4:40, and Webbers Falls taking on Whitesboro at 2:00.
