After the half the Lady Pirates came back to the court inspired, scoring 16 points in the third to take an eight point lead thanks in part to the 7-point contribution from Kaitlyn Byrne. Byrne finished with 11 points on the night and was the top scorer for the Lady Pirates.
Natalie Casteel had just 4 points for the entire game, but her 2-point contribution in the final period (the only 2 points score by the Pirates in the fourth) was just enough to push Gore past the Lady Grizzlies for the 26-25 win.
For Gans, Melania Paniagua was the top point lady with 10 points with Brianna Burris next with 7.
The Lady Grizzlies (5-10) will remain on the road traveling to Central (Sallisaw) (13-3) Thursday night to take on the Lady Tigers and Gore (4-13) will remain home to take on Dewar (10-3) Friday night.
