BRAGGS – In what looked to be a close match up on paper turned out to be just that. The Braggs Wildcats (7-5) lit up the scoreboard in the first half and held the (3-3) Webbers Falls Warriors back to lead at the half.

It was raining threes in the opening two periods for the Cats, with Tayten Chapa hitting four times from downtown and Pablo Posse knocking down two for a 27-point halftime total.

It appeared Braggs had the game in hand, but the second half was a different tale. Webber took the lead in the third when the Wildcats could only manage 9 points, 8 of which came from Chapa.

By the waning seconds of the contest the Warriors found themselves up by 3 with an inbound by Braggs. The final 3-point attempt missed, the Wildcats managed a bucket for 2-points but fell short and suffered the 44-43 defeat.

Chapa was the big point man for the Cats with 27 on the night, followed by Posse with 9 and Jalen Melton with 8 points.

Webbers Falls will be back in action again against Cameron (2-8) in the Arkansas River Shoot Out on the 6th, and Braggs will travel to Keota (2-2) that same night.
