
WARNER – The Warner Eagles (10-12) ended their regular season Tuesday night at home against the Hulbert Riders. Hulbert (7-15) came out on top in the low scoring game 39-37.
The Riders jumped out on top in the opening quarter 14-9 and maintained the spread throughout the first half.
Adam Hinkle led the scoring for Hulbert with 19 points, of which 12 points came from beyond the bonus stripe for 3-pointers. Hinkle also went 5-for-5 from the foul line.
Warner did not have any players in double figures. The Eagles committed 11 fouls in the second half that aided Hulbert in the 2 point win.
Hulbert will move on to play Haskell (3-19) at home for the area 2 district 7 title. Win or lose the will then plat at Haskell Friday night for the opening of the regional portion of their OSSAA bracket.
The Eagles remain home to face the Chouteau-Mazie Wildcats (5-17) Saturday night before moving on to Colcord to open their regional playoff bracket.
