Gore – The Red Oak Eagles visited the Gore Pirates at Gore Stadium Monday for a summer baseball matchup. After neither team could score in the opening inning the Eagles came on in the top of the second to post 4 runs.
Despite being one man short the Eagles turned in some stellar play on defense to keep the Pirates off the board.
Summer baseball is meant to be more of a teaching time with players being rotated every three innings to gain experience for the upcoming season. Some Junior High players get a chance to play against the varsity to gain valuable experience.
