
CHECOTAH – The Lady Wildcats who had won 8 of their last 11 games were victims of “Homecoming Hangover” Friday night as they lost to the 3A, 5th ranked, 15-3, Roland Rangers 72-54.
The night started with the celebration of Homecoming Night for the Wildcats (9-9) and ended with a 72-54 rout by the visiting Rangers.
Makya Perryman was a force for Roland. She managed 37 points on the night and was an outstanding 21-for-23 from the foul line. Kate Martinez also made it into double figures with 13.
University of Tulsa commit, Olivia Clayton hit for the Wildcats for 16 points while Vanessa Henson was top point getter for Checotah with 17 for the game.
Checotah will be back in action on Monday when they host their 10th ranked rival Eufaula (14-2) while Roland returns home to face Poteau (4-13) that same night.
