GORE – The Porter Lady Pirates led the Porum Lady Panthers for more than 23 minutes Saturday night in the district 8 Title game but couldn’t seal the deal. The final 9 minutes was all Lady Panthers as they blew by Porter 53-37.
Courtney Pease and Leia Johnson each had 6 points for the Panthers in the final period, and both finished with 10 points for the game.
Adysen Dishman and Kylie Smith both finished with 9 points.
For Porter, Raylee Allison topped the score board with 10 points, and Abby Gourd, Kassidy Pickard and Kelsi Kilgore each contributed 8 points.
Porum will advance and face Depew in the winners bracket to be played at Gore next Thursday at 6:00 pm.
Porter moves to the consolation bracket to face Liberty at Gore Thursday afternoon at 1:30 pm. The loser of that game will be eliminated from the state tournament.
