WARNER – The No. 6 ranked Warner Lady Eagles (18-4) defeated the visiting Hulbert Riders 52-19 Tuesday night to win their final regular season contest. The victory made it five-in-a-row for Warner who will open post-season play Saturday night at home to face Chouteau-Mazie for the Area III District 6 title.

Saturday night it was Alexis Fowler’s turn to top the score sheet with 22 points. Fowler scored most of her points in the second and third quarters to boost the Lady Eagles to a 45-11 third quarter lead.

Coach Mindi Peters rested her starters in the final period.

The Lady Riders were led by Lily Brown, Alison Cole and Sophie Shankle who all netted 3-pointers.

Hulbert (9-14) will move on to play Haskell (14-9) at home for the area 2 district 7 title. Win or lose the will then go to Haskell Friday night for the opening of the regional portion of their OSSAA bracket.

The Eagles remain home to face the Wildcats Saturday before moving on to Colcord to open their regional playoff bracket.
