
WARNER – With the High School team sidelined by a quarantine, the Junior High Warner Eagles had an opportunity for a double header afternoon against the Porter Pirates.
In the opener, of two 5-inning contest, Warner got on the board first with a single run in the bottom of the first. The Pirates answered with one of their own in the top of the next frame, but the Eagles opened the game up with a 3-run third and never looked back, taking the opener 7-1 in four innings.
In the second contest, Warner waisted no time posting the max 3 runs in each of the first two inning and easily took the nightcap 8-1 from the Pirates.
The Junior High Eagles will be back in action Thursday afternoon when the Mounds Golden Eagles come to visit Warner.
