WARNER – The Eufaula Ironheads (1-0) shutout the Warner Eagles 24-0 in the Junior High football opener Monday afternoon at warner.
Eufaula started off quickly when on the first play, a run over the left side of the Eagle line led to a touchdown and an 8-0 Ironhead lead. They would score again in the first half taking the deficit to 16-0 at the break.
The Eagles (0-1) just couldn’t seem to get anything going with the exceptions of a few short bursts through the Eufaula line. The Warner defense did pick up the pace in the second half allowing just one touchdown in the final two quarters.
Warner will be back in action next Tuesday when they travel to Vian to take on the Wolverine
