WEBBERS FALLS — Indianola split two games Monday at Webbers Falls, beating Moyers in their opener before falling 11-10 to Webbers Falls in the nightcap.
The Warriors improved their record to 3-2 after rallying past Indianola despite being outhit 15-6.
Leigha Moore went 3-for-3 for the Warriorettes , hitting a solo home run in the first inning and adding singles in the second and fifth. Moore and K. Youngblood each totaled three hits.
Indianola jumped ahead with two first-inning home runs and added two more runs in the second on Youngblood’s triple and Aubrie Moore’s single.
Webbers Falls answered big with seven runs in the bottom of the second, highlighted by Katie Frazier’s two-run double, to take an 8-4 lead.
The Warriorettes regained a 10-8 lead in the fourth, but Webbers Falls went back in front in the bottom half on run-scoring plays by Jada Conrad, Leighton Dyer and Karla Bonilla.
Kacyn Whitaker pitched four innings for Indianola, allowing six hits and 11 runs while striking out two and walking nine.
Youngblood drove in two runs for Indianola from the No. 9 spot. Ragan Wafford and Moore also had multiple hits, while Ella Santine and Moore helped the Warriorettes total six stolen bases.
Conrad went 2-for-2 with two RBIs for Webbers Falls. The Warriors drew nine walks, stole 15 bases, played error-free defense and turned one double play.
