GORE –  The Gore Lady Pirates dropped their opening game of the Gore tournament to the Lady Panthers of Stigler 51-38.

Gore kept the game close through three periods trailing by just 2 points after three, but they totally lost their range in the final period, scoring just 4 points to Stigler’s 15.

Caitland Lovett topped the scoring for the Lady Panthers with 13 points, almost half of which came in the third quarter.

Payton Mecom was next with 9 points followed closely by Londan Daniels with 8 and Maddy Pruett with 7 points.

Kennedy Williams topped the score sheet for the Pirates with 13 points and was the only player to score in the final period with 4 points.

With the loss, Gore will move to the consolation bracket to face Vian who lost to Oktaha 67-41 in a game that will start at 2:30 Friday.

The Lady Panthers move on in the winners bracket Friday to face the Oktaha Lady Tigers at 4:00 pm.
