WARNER – The Central Tigers defense prevailed Friday night allowing the Warner Eagles just 24 total points, winning the contest 57-24 in front of a large Tiger crowd.
Hardy Buzzard led the Tigers scoring 17 points With Josh Bunk close behind with 13 points. Aiden Sainer was the other Tiger in double figures with 12 on the night.
Early on in the contest Central shut down the Eagle offense allowing just one bucket in the second period. That came from Haiden Morris with a 3-pointer. The Tigers doubled up Warner in the first half 24-12.
After the break, Central opened the game up scoring 14 points in the third and 18 in the final period to the Eagles 12 point second half total.
Central will move on to Muldrow to take on the Bulldogs next Tuesday, and Warner will hit the road to No. 13 Oktaha to face the Tigers.
