WARNER – The Eagles came home with some gold at the 26th annual Warner Invitational Track meet Tuesday afternoon.
In the boys division, Koulter Drake and Levi Bishop finished one-two in the 1600 meter with times of 4:52.75 and 5:02.51. Drake also finished first in the 3200 with a time of 10:49.82.
The Eagles also finished first in the 4×800 meter relay at 9:08.93. the team consisted of Drake, Talon Longshore, Caden Staley and Bishop.
In the girls division, Kambree Ellis finished first in the 400 meter with a time of 1:01.67. Ellis took third place in the 800 behind Camrynn Watkins of Henryetta and Kendall Kelly of Cushing HS.
Warner just missed in the 4×200 finishing less than a second behind Chelsea HS. At 1:53.07 but returned the favor in the 4×400 topping Chelsea by almost 3 seconds. The Lady Eagles relay team also took the 4×800 with a time of 11:05.09.
Ava Peters got the gold in the girls Discus with a winning toss of 107’-3” almost 5 feet further than Chelsea’s Mady Hamilton at 102’-8”. Sallisaw’s Charlie Petree was just behind by 8” at 102’-0”. Petree did outthrow all the ladies in the shot put with a throw of 33’11”
